Scott Tzinberg

Scott Tzinberg opened a private practice immediately after graduating law school and receiving his law license. Since he opened the firm, Mr. Tzinberg has concentrated his practice in the area of Domestic Relations. He handles contested and uncontested cases involving child custody, divorce, child support and paternity.

Mr. Tzinberg was raised in Niles, IL and attended Maine East High School in Park Ridge. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he majored in Communications and received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

After Wisconsin, Mr. Tzinberg was accepted to attend the John Marshall Law School, located in downtown Chicago. He moved from the suburbs to the city and enrolled in the night school program at John Marshall. Since he attended classes in the evening, he was able to work during the daytime. He clerked for a sole practitioner who had an established family law practice. He enjoyed the small firm atmosphere and this gave him the idea to start his own law firm when he finished law school.

Mr. Tzinberg then graduated from John Marshall and received a Juris Doctor degree. Once he was sworn in by the Illinois Supreme Court and issued his license to practice law, Mr. Tzinberg started his own firm.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Tzinberg is also a certified Cook County arbitrator and periodically presides over cases that are assigned to mandatory arbitration.

He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He is an active member in the Chicago Bar Matrimonial Law Committee.

Mr. Tzinberg has volunteered for the guardianship program sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association. The program provides an attorney at no charge to advise people trying to establish guardianship of minor children. He has also volunteered as a tutor for children at Jane Adams Hull House.

Mr. Tzinberg currently lives in Chicago. He is married and has one daughter.
